PASSENGER TRAFFIC TO FOWEY

The passenger service from Lostwithiel to Fowey was withdrawn in January 1965 but restored temporarily for EXCURSION TRAFFIC ONLY in Summer 1994, and apparently never to be repeated.

No details are available regarding the closure of the Par to Fowey service but there is evidence the line was retained for mineral traffic until 1968 when lifting commenced. It now forms a small part of the Saints' Way footpath.
