Overview
From Monday to Saturday trains leave Manchester Victoria from 06:26 to 20:58 heading for the scenic Ribble Valley. On Sundays, trains depart Manchester Victoria from 08:00 to 21:00.
Departures from Clitheroe start at 07:08 with the last train to Manchester Victoria leaving at 22:46.The 21:36 from Clitheroe provides a direct link to Stockport & Buxton, via Manchester Piccadilly. Additionally, there is a useful through early-morning train linking Clitheroe with Preston, Lancaster & Morecambe, providing connections at Lancaster for Carnforth, Barrow and the West Cumbrian Coast Line. On Sundays, trains leave Clitheroe between 09:17 and 22:24. There are connections from Blackburn west to Preston and Blackpool, east to Accrington, Burnley, Nelson and Colne, and also through services to Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Bradford Interchange, Leeds and York.
On certain Sundays in Summer, the DalesRail service provides a convenient direct service to Settle, Appleby & Carlisle from Blackpool North, Preston, Blackburn and Ribble Valley Stations. An all-year-round, seven days a week service north of Clitheroe remains one of the objectives of Ribble Valley Rail.
