Friends of Stations

Our volunteers have returned to maintain the stations, which have been unattended for over four months, so plenty of weeding to do. Sadly the return date was too late for planting of bedding plants but hopefully there will be some planting in the autumn. The Friends of Whalley Station were the first to return to their work but volunteers at all the other stations are now back in action.

At Clitheroe Station there has been a major change with Gordon Wilson retiring as a volunteer at the station after 25 years. As a thank you for his unstinting work at Clitheroe Station we presented Gordon with this plaque.

He sent this message “ A very big thank you Marje to you and the committee for this lovely plaque. It will remind me of all the wonderful times we had together”.

A small group of committee members has cleared the tubs and tidied up the Garden at the front of the Interchange.  Before and after -
